During the Khmer Rouge regime (1975-1979), 25% of the Cambodian population was tortured and murdered. The S21, previously a school in the capital, was transformed in a torture center. From the 20,000 people that entered this place, only 12 survived. These were the ten commandments that the prisoners had to follow at the center. Currently, the S21 is the Museum of Genocide of Tuol Seng.
